Three M1 teams from our lab took on the challenge of the IVRC, a high-level VR competition for students, and performed very well. It was already an honor for us that all three teams advanced to the SEED STAGE, where only 26 of the 81 entries were selected, but two of them won top awards, making it a historic achievement. Congratulations to the M1 students!

“We highly appreciated the way they implemented the impossible sensation of the arm transforming like a liquid by combining tactile and visual sensations.”

“The sensation of the beach was reproduced very realistically by presenting the sensation to the sole of the foot. It was not a single sensation, but a gradual reproduction of multiple sensations, and the quality of the device was high.”

- Dr. Shirai at GREE VR Studio Lab: “I like this. I’d like the creator to distribute an APK for SideQuest or something so we can play it properly without the device part. I’d like Fujiko Fujio or someone to experience this system, but before that, I’d like them to make a game system that allows players to make air guns with their fingers and play eSports. The idea of neck hanging table is excellent, so sell them to those players.”
